It’s clear that 50 Cent has found his stride in the Movies & TV market, last year Fif executive produced the show “Power” (which we covered in extreme detail), that elevated the network to be mentioned with the likes of HBO and Showtime.
The show quickly became highest rated show in history for the network, after just the first episode of season 2 premiered (with over a million viewers), the show was immediately renewed for 3rd season, which is currently being shot Brooklyn.
To capitalize on the success of the show, Fif has now partnered with the premium cable network for an exclusive two-year deal.
Under his G-Unit Film and Television imprint, Fifty will continue to executive produce POWER, as well as expanding his roles behind-the-camera for more future original series with the network. Look for more details to emerge from Starz and Mr. Jackson in the near future.
Keep in mind that 50 has still has that $150 million Lionsgate deal for 10 films out which only 3 have been released.
