From the very beginning, with the announcement of this fight it was destined to be a slug fest. What wasn’t expected was how different the punching power between the 2 would be, James Kirkland has always been a heavy hitter but against Canelo Alvarez, he appeared to be a regular fighter.
By the time the 3rd arrived Kirkland was already down 3 times and he inevitably got knocked out in the 3rd.
