Netflix is etting ready to knock it out the park once again with their 3rd installation into the Marvel Universe with Luke Cage. In this Marvel live action series, a street-fighting ex-con battles crime on the streets of New York as the Super Hero, Luke Cage.
Cage occupied the same moody, gritty, noir New York that fellow Netflix Marvellians Daredevil and Jessica Jones call home, and the three plus Iron Fist will eventually all share the same screen in a Defenders mini-series. Luke Cage, if you’re not familiar, first appeared in Jessica Jones, where we learned of the tragic death of his wife, as well as his ability to basically not be damaged by any kind of physical attack.
Unlike its peers, the Luke Cage series will have much more of a Hip Hop undertone to it with quite a bit of the music backdrop being rap.
