Irv Gotti Talks Masterminding the Hard Knock Life & Why DMX Hated Jay-Z in 1998

Irv Gotti continues his stroll down memory lane to talk about one of the most memorable times for Hip Hop in the late 90s. He talks about Jay Z searching for the next hot sound after Biggie died, which gave birth to the In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 that brought us the forgettable “(Always Be My) Sunshine” track.

He also talks about DMX hating Jay Z after they battled.

Irv recalls the session for the Money Cash Hoes record where the studio was packed with Roc-a-fella & Ruff Ryders affiliates and that being what sparked the legendary Hard Knock Life tour.
